15 writers from the Korea TV Writers Association invited for a 1-night, 2-day tour of major attractions

Cheonan City announced on the 2nd that it recently held a 1-night, 2-day familiarization (fam) tour from the 30th to the 31st of last month, inviting 15 drama writers affiliated with the Korea TV Writers Association to introduce them to Cheonan’s major tourist attractions.

This fam tour was organized to introduce Cheonan's tourism resources to drama writers and to discover attractive locations that can be utilized as backgrounds and themes for future dramas and other broadcast content.

On the first day, participants visited the Jiksan-hyeon Government Office and Jiksan Hyanggyo to explore Cheonan’s historical and cultural heritage. They then experienced Cheonan's unique food culture by exploring the Toujours Bread Dolgama Village and taking part in a walnut pastry-making experience.

Following this, they enjoyed the urban landscape of Cheonan from the Town Hall Observatory and visited the Independence Hall of Korea to reflect on its historical significance. In the evening, they attended the "Maple Tree Forest Road Healing Festival," exploring the forest trail harmonized with autumn foliage and night scenery.

On the second day, participants explored Cheonan’s diverse cultural and natural tourism resources by viewing exhibitions at Museum Walnut, visiting Gwangdeoksa Temple, and experiencing a forest healing program at Taehaksan Healing Forest.

Jeong Seon-ha, Head of the Tourism Division, stated, "This fam tour was a meaningful opportunity to introduce the diverse tourism charms of Cheonan, where history, culture, and nature harmonize, to drama writers." She added, "Moving forward, we will expand tourism promotion linked with broadcast content to widely publicize Cheonan's tourist attractions and strive to attract more tourists."
