Seoul, South Korea – LG Electronics has announced a significant expansion of its accessibility education programs aimed at helping people with disabilities use home appliances more easily and safely.

The company will more than double the scope of its "Easy Appliance Project," which donates and teaches people how to use LG Comfort Kits and easy-to-understand manuals. These tools are designed to assist individuals with various disabilities in operating household appliances.

LG Electronics is also expanding its "Appliance School One-Day Class," which provides a fun and interactive way for children and adolescents to learn about the electrical and mechanical principles of appliances.

Key initiatives include:

Expanded partnerships: LG has partnered with the Korea Rehabilitation Association for the Disabled to distribute 150 sets of easy-to-understand manuals and 100 LG Comfort Kits to 10 welfare centers nationwide.
Increased accessibility: The company is publishing its easy-to-understand manuals as both physical books and e-books, making them accessible to a wider range of institutions, including schools and libraries.
Community engagement: LG has launched a new community called "Bold Move" to gather feedback from customers with disabilities and co-create solutions to improve accessibility.
"As a corporate citizen, we are committed to providing accessible products and services to everyone," said Yoon Dae-sik, executive vice president of LG Electronics' corporate relations division. "By expanding our accessibility education programs, we aim to empower people with disabilities to enjoy the benefits of technology."

LG Electronics' commitment to accessibility aligns with its broader ESG goals. The company has identified "diversity and inclusion" as one of its six ESG strategic priorities and has been actively working to improve accessibility for people with disabilities both online and offline.
