Konyang University International Festival Participates... Promoting the Expo with International Students

At an international exchange event hosted by a regional university, a point of contact was established to introduce the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo to international students and the younger generation, communicating with the world.

The 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo Organizing Committee (hereafter referred to as the Organizing Committee) announced that it participated in the "2026 International Festival" held on October 31 at the Glocal Campus of Konyang University to carry out promotional activities for the Expo.

Held under the theme "Connecting People, Connecting Cultures, Connecting Regions," the festival was a gathering where international students, multicultural families, current students, graduates, and local residents came together, featuring a variety of programs such as cultural experiences by country, performances, and a K-POP contest.

The Organizing Committee set up a promotional booth at the festival site to introduce the schedule and key details of the Expo. They ensured visitors could approach the Expo in a friendly manner through the distribution of promotional materials and souvenirs, as well as SNS participation events.

In particular, the significance was heightened as Organizing Committee staff and participants of Konyang University's international exchange mentoring program for international students joined forces to promote the event. By connecting the university's international exchange program with Expo promotion, international students were able to experience the Expo and develop an interest in the region's representative industry and international event.

The Organizing Committee plans to continue its promotional activities by utilizing cooperation and international exchange networks with regional universities, including Konyang University, to introduce the Expo to various demographics such as university students and international students, ultimately leading to the attraction of domestic and international visitors.

An official from the Organizing Committee stated, "As university festivals are a great opportunity where various cultures and generations meet in one place, they provide an ideal chance to introduce and communicate the Expo. Moving forward, we will cooperate with universities and the local community to raise the international profile of the Expo and prepare so that more domestic and international visitors can visit Nonsan."

Meanwhile, the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo is scheduled to be held for 24 days from February 26 to March 21, 2027, around the Nonsan Citizens Family Park.

Promoted as an international industrial expo encompassing the overall strawberry industry, including smart agriculture and cutting-edge agricultural technology under the theme "K-Berry! Smart Agriculture, Healthy Future," it plans to expand international cooperation and industrial exchange through exhibition, academic, and business programs involving domestic and international corporations, institutions, and experts.
