Providing customized care support ranging from health status checks to dietary and medication management

Bucheon City announced on the 2nd that the user satisfaction rate for the "On(溫)-dongnae Health Care Partner" project—in which local residents directly participate in the health care of their neighbors—stood at 92.9%.

The "On-dongnae Health Care Partner" project aims to provide continuous health care services to residents in need of health management and to build a community-centered preventative care system based on resident participation.

The city has expanded the regional health care leader project, previously promoted in cooperation with the Bucheon Medical and Social Welfare Cooperative, to local welfare centers, operating mainly across five welfare centers within the jurisdiction. Health care partners visit the homes of participants once a week to check their health status and assist with daily health management, such as dietary and medication management, exercise, and emotional support.

According to the satisfaction survey, 88.7% of respondents answered that it was helpful for physical health management, and 92.8% responded that it was helpful for emotional health management. Through these results, the city confirmed the positive outcomes of the project.

Through this project, the city is establishing a resident-participatory care system centered around local welfare centers where residents look out for the health and daily lives of their neighbors. Moving forward, the city plans to enhance service quality by reflecting user feedback and expand linkage with integrated care to strengthen the foundation for community-centered health care.

Kim Myung-ran, Head of the Care Support Division at Bucheon City, stated, "The Health Care Partner project holds great significance in that residents directly look after the health of their neighbors," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the community-centered care system so that citizens can maintain their healthy daily lives right where they live."
