SEOUL — K-pop continues to tighten its grip on the global live entertainment market, with South Korean acts capturing a staggering six spots in the top 10 touring artists in Asia over the past year.
According to the latest "Asia Focus Top Touring Artists" chart released by the prominent U.S. live entertainment trade publication Pollstar, powerhouse boy band SEVENTEEN claimed the prestigious No. 1 spot. The group pulled in an astounding USD 97.39 million in tour revenue, moving 661,088 tickets across the continent.
The tracking period for the chart spans from August 1 of last year to July 31 of this year, capturing a wave of blockbuster stadium and arena performances that electrified fans across the region.
A Phenomenal Run Across Asia
SEVENTEEN’s record-breaking dominance was fueled by their massive global tour, "New_," which launched in September last year. The tour set major venues ablaze across Incheon, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and Bulacan in the Philippines.
In a historic milestone for K-pop, SEVENTEEN became the first Korean act to completely sell out all four consecutive shows at Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong’s largest entertainment venue.
In total, the group held 22 high-energy performances across the continent, which notably included stops at iconic Japanese venues such as the Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka, cementing their status as top-tier live performers.
K-Pop Acts Fill Out the Top 10
SEVENTEEN’s stellar performance was part of a broader, undeniable wave of K-pop supremacy in Asia's live music sector. Out of the top 10 touring acts on the continent, six were proudly from South Korea:
No. 1: SEVENTEEN (USD 97.39 million / 661,088 tickets)
No. 2: TWICE
No. 3: Tomorrow X Together (TXT)
No. 4: BTS
No. 8: BLACKPINK
No. 9: ENHYPEN
This remarkable lineup—featuring both legendary groups and dynamic next-generation powerhouses—highlights the explosive, enduring popularity and commercial viability of K-pop throughout Asia.
Industry experts note that these figures demonstrate how live music has rebounded exponentially, with K-pop groups serving as the primary economic and cultural driving force behind stadium-scale tours in the region. As international demand grows, these milestones signal an even brighter future for Korean artists on the global stage.
