Held the 2nd regional investment briefing for the northern region in Gumi on September 30

Gyeongsangbuk-do held the "2026 2nd Investment Briefing for Domestic-Returning and Regional New/Expanded Investments" at Hotel Kumohsan in Gumi on the 30th.

The briefing was organized to introduce corporate support policies and investment subsidy systems, as well as to listen to difficulties faced by companies during the investment process to find solutions.

About 50 people attended the event, including Lee Nam-ok, head of the Airport Investment Headquarters of Gyeongsangbuk-do, heads of investment attraction departments from cities and counties in the northern region, officials from KOTRA and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICOX), and corporate representatives.

Gyeongsangbuk-do introduced the current status of investment subsidy support, new support policies, as well as industrial/location conditions and major attraction projects for each city and county. KICOX guided attendees through application procedures and precautions for domestic-returning and regional investment promotion subsidies. KOTRA explained domestic-returning support systems and selection procedures. Jahwa Electronics Co., Ltd. and Woojin Sanjeon Co., Ltd. each presented cases of returning domestically and regional investment, sharing their investment processes and experiences in utilizing support systems.

Following the southern region investment briefing held in Pohang on August 27, Gyeongsangbuk-do continues its customized investment attraction activities by region. Based on regional industrial foundations—such as the Gumi semiconductor industry, Andong bio industry, Yeongju advanced bearing industry, and aviation/logistics industries linked with the Daegu-Gyeongbuk New Airport—the province supports both corporate attraction and settlement.

Lee Nam-ok, head of the Airport Investment Headquarters of Gyeongsangbuk-do, stated, "The most important factor when companies decide on an investment location is how quickly and reliably the system operates in actual fields," adding, "The province, cities and counties, KOTRA, and KICOX will cooperate closely from the pre-investment stage to permits, factory operations, and post-settlement to strengthen support that companies can truly feel."
