Sejong City to Host the 8th Resource Circulation Festival at Sejong Lake Park on October 24th, Featuring Diverse Programs Including Interactive Experiences, Exhibitions, and Flea Markets.

Sejong Special Self-Governing City (Mayor Cho Sang-ho) announced that it will host the 8th Sejong Resource Circulation Festival on October 24th at the central plaza and Maehwa performance stage of Sejong Lake Park.

Now in its 8th year, the Sejong Resource Circulation Festival is a premier local environmental event held annually to promote the importance of resource circulation and establish an eco-friendly lifestyle culture driven by citizens.

Under the theme "Eco-Leading City Sejong: A Sustainable Resource Circulation Future Built Together with Citizens," this year's festival is designed in alignment with the event's core mission to operate as an eco-friendly event that minimizes disposable items.

On the day of the event, October 24th, visitors at Sejong Lake Park can enjoy a rich variety of engaging programs, including:

Resource Circulation Experiences and Education
Citizen-Participatory Second-Hand Flea Markets
Reusable Cup Circulation Experiences
Eco-Friendly Cultural Performances

Additionally, public institutions, local civic groups, and environmental organizations will join forces to promote daily practices for reducing waste and improving recycling habits.

Lee Kyung-woo, Director of the Environment and Greenery Bureau, stated, "We hope families and neighbors will visit Sejong Lake Park this weekend to experience the precious value of resource circulation and unite in protecting our environment."

The city plans to continuously pursue eco-friendly policies to realize a sustainable carbon-neutral city, including expanding the reduction of single-use plastics in public institutions, establishing a reusable cup circulation system, and building infrastructure for resource circulation hubs.
