Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau, Indonesia – The Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy, led by Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya, has partnered with Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) to empower local entrepreneurs in the creative sector. This collaboration aims to develop creative economy villages and boost economic growth in rural areas.

During a recent visit to APR's operational area in Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau Province, Minister Harsya emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in driving the growth of creative industries. A workshop focused on financial literacy and access to financing for 30 local entrepreneurs in the culinary, crafts, and fashion sectors was held to enhance their business management skills.

"This is a manifestation of the hexa-helix synergy, where the government, businesses, academics, media, associations, and financial institutions unite to develop the creative economy in villages. This collaboration is expected to become a model for other regions in Indonesia," said Minister Harsya.

The workshop aligns with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's 100-day work plan, which prioritizes poverty alleviation through entrepreneurship and equitable economic distribution. By developing creative villages, the government aims to leverage the cultural and creative potential of local communities.

APR President Director, Basrie Kamba, highlighted the company's commitment to supporting the development of creative villages as part of its APR2030 sustainability goals. "Together with APRIL, we are committed to helping communities within a 50 km radius of our operations through empowering programs. This training is a concrete step to improve the quality of life and well-being of the community," he said.

Yusmaini, a batik entrepreneur who participated in the workshop, expressed her gratitude for the training and said it had significantly improved her understanding of financial management. "Thanks to APR and APRIL, we continue to receive regular and ongoing mentoring. We are really happy; every time we get training, we gain new knowledge, which has a positive impact on the business we are developing," Yusmaini said.

Through initiatives like these, APR and APRIL have already benefited 89 local business partners. The success of this program is expected to inspire the creation of more creative villages across Indonesia, fostering sustainable economic growth and empowering rural communities.
