1 Night 2 Days Held at National Leisure Camping Ground and Central Market Area… Family Unit Participants

Cheonan City announced that it held the experiential tourism program, "Let's Play in Cheonan! Local Camp," around the Cheonan National Leisure Camping Ground for 1 night and 2 days from the 31st of last month to the 1st of this month.

This event was prepared to attract tourists from other regions, promote Cheonan's tourism resources, and stimulate consumption linked to the local commercial district.

Around 100 people participated in the event, centered around family-unit tourists residing outside the region.

Participants toured major tourist attractions in Cheonan, visited the Cheonan Central Market to experience local food and culture, and spent a 1-night, 2-day schedule participating in family-oriented programs at the National Leisure Camping Ground.

The city expects that this stay-type tourism program will induce repeat visits by out-of-town tourists and contribute to revitalizing stagnant local commercial districts, including traditional markets.

Jeong Seon-ha, head of the Tourism Division, stated, "We hope that this local camp will serve as an opportunity for families to feel Cheonan's charm and visit again," adding, "We will continue to discover stay-type tourism programs utilizing Cheonan's unique resources in the future."
