Aiden Robotics, a company specializing in robot sensors, has been selected for Samsung Electronics' startup incubation program, C-Lab Outside, on February 11th.
Aiden Robotics has been developing next-generation capacitive 6-axis force/torque sensors based on field sensing technology accumulated since 1995 at the Robotics Innovatory within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University. The company is mass-producing and supplying these sensors to major companies both domestically and internationally.
In the second half of last year, Aiden Robotics expanded its business by launching an all-in-one kit package product tailored for domestic collaborative robot manufacturers such as Rainbow Robotics and Neuromeka. This package includes a 6-axis force/torque sensor that can be worn on the wrist.
Aiden Robotics has secured its own unique structural design, precision, and price competitiveness. With this selection for Samsung C-Lab Outside, the company will have the opportunity to collaborate with Samsung Electronics on various business ventures.
C-Lab Outside, launched in 2018, is a program that discovers and provides customized support to innovative startups. Through this program, Aiden Robotics will gain access to Samsung Electronics' resources and expertise, which will help the company grow and expand its business.
Lee Yoon-haeng, CEO of Aiden Robotics, said, "We are very grateful that our technology has been recognized." He added, "Aiden Robotics will lead innovative changes in the robotics industry and expand its business model beyond collaborative robots to various fields such as home robots and service robots."
This selection for Samsung's C-Lab Outside program is a significant milestone for Aiden Robotics. It is expected to provide the company with valuable opportunities to collaborate with Samsung Electronics, further develop its technology, and expand its business into new markets.
