'Greentech Startup Forum' Held... Follow-up to Ministry of Foreign Affairs' 'International Conference on AI and Climate Change Response'
Global Expert Lectures and Discussions, and 1:1 Meet-ups with Climate Tech Startups Operated

The city of Cheonan announced on the 2nd that the '2025 Greentech Startup Forum', held at the Green Startup Town, successfully concluded.

This forum, co-hosted by the Chungnam Content Agency and local investor CC Ventures, was a follow-up event to the '2025 International Conference on AI and Climate Change Response' held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 1st, and was held under the theme of 'AI and Climate Change Response'.

About 100 people, including global climate tech experts, private investors, and local startups, attended this forum to discuss the development direction and cooperation methods for climate tech.

Professor Dennis Shelden of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the U.S. gave a lecture on 'AI-based Energy Management and Consumption Optimization', and a panel discussion on 'Ways to vitalize AI-based Climate Tech Companies' was held.

In addition, 1:1 meet-ups between startups and global experts/investors facilitated practical exchanges for technology verification and global investment linkage for local startups.

The city of Cheonan plans to further strengthen the creation of an innovative startup ecosystem that will lead future industries such as AI and climate tech, using this forum as an opportunity.

Kim Gok-mi, head of the Chungnam Content Agency, stated, "This forum was a place to confirm the possibilities of technology and innovation for solving climate issues," adding, "I hope it will serve as an opportunity for practical cooperation for the future."

Lee Jong-taek, head of the Strategic Industries Bureau, said, "Responding to the climate crisis is not an option but a necessity, and the climate tech industry is drawing attention as a next-generation growth engine." He added, "Cheonan City will actively support the growth of promising startups in future industrial fields, including climate tech, centered around Korea's No. 1 complex startup park."
