Samyangsa Launches AI-Powered Platform for Industrial Water Treatment

Samyangsa, a leading South Korean industrial materials company, has unveiled a new AI-powered platform designed to provide customers with tailored water treatment solutions. The company launched the revamped website for its ion exchange resin brand, "Trilite," along with an AI chatbot named "Trigent" at its headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Ion exchange resins, small, spherical synthetic resins, are essential for producing ultrapure water used in cleaning semiconductor, display, and electronic products. Samyangsa, which pioneered the domestic production of ion exchange resins in 1976, is the only Korean company to manufacture these materials. The company's resins are now at the forefront of South Korea's efforts to localize the production of ultrapure water.

The new Trilite website features an AI chatbot, Trigent, which is designed to provide users with quick and easy access to information. By simply asking a question, users can receive information on products, recommended applications, technical data, and more. The chatbot has been trained on over 50 years of Samyangsa's ion exchange resin data and can provide responses in over 100 languages, including English, Chinese, and Japanese.

In addition to the chatbot, the website also offers two new design programs, collectively known as "TriAngle." These programs allow users to design optimal water treatment systems based on their specific needs. The programs can be used to design systems using both ion exchange resins and reverse osmosis membranes.

Samyangsa aims to use this new platform to provide customers with a one-stop solution for building water treatment systems and to further expand its global market presence.

"With the AI-powered website and design programs, we expect to improve accessibility to information and provide our customers with the optimal products and designs for their water treatment needs," said Kang Ho-sung, CEO of Samyangsa. "We will continue to implement digital transformations to provide more innovative services to our global customers."

Samyangsa completed construction of Asia's largest uniform particle-sized ion exchange resin plant in 2014 and has been expanding its market for premium ion exchange resins used in power plants, ultrapure water, chromatography, and catalysts. The company has been supplying ion exchange resins to over 400 companies in 50 countries. Since 2023, Samyangsa has also been offering reverse osmosis membranes and electrodeionizers, expanding its product portfolio to become a comprehensive solutions provider in the industrial water treatment market.
