The Samcheok Family Center (Director Park Na-yoon) announced a remarkable achievement: all 10 married immigrant participants in its recent barista training program successfully passed the examination to earn their Level 2 Barista certificates.

The program ran for 12 sessions from September 14 to October 27, designed specifically to strengthen the employment competencies and economic independence of married immigrants in the local community.

Program Overview and Highlights

*Duration: September 14 – October 27 (12 sessions total)
*Participants: 10 married immigrants (100% pass rate)
*Objective: To equip participants with professional coffee knowledge and practical skills, boosting their career readiness, employment opportunities, and successful local settlement.

Curriculum and Community Impact

Throughout the course, trainees built a strong foundation by studying coffee varieties, characteristics, and extraction techniques through a balanced mix of theory and hands-on practice. Working toward a shared goal fostered active communication, peer interaction, and high engagement among participants.

This 100% certification rate reflects the dedication and hard work of the trainees, combined with a well-structured educational framework. The program has successfully empowered married immigrants to explore new career paths and build professional confidence.

Looking Ahead

Reflecting on the milestone, Center Director Park Na-yoon shared her thoughts: "I am deeply meaningful that all ten participants achieved their goal of obtaining certification. I hope this program served as a valuable opportunity for them to experience a new professional field and showcase their capabilities."

She added, "We will continue to offer diverse and practical employment support programs to help married immigrants leverage their strengths, achieve economic self-reliance, and settle securely within the local community."
