A heartwarming story has emerged from Sabuk Middle School in Jeongseon, where a 15-year-old student studying traditional Korean music (gugak) penned a touching letter to Gangwon Province Superintendent of Education, Shin Kyung-ho. The student, identified as Shin Jung-in, expressed deep gratitude for the educational environment that allowed her to nurture her dreams.

In the letter, which was delivered to Superintendent Shin on February 14th, Shin Jung-in wrote, "While studying arts in Gangwon Province, I discovered my potential and solidified my dreams. I believe all of this is thanks to the educational environment that you, Superintendent Shin, have created, where students can discover and develop their talents."

The letter, which began with "To Superintendent Shin Kyung-ho of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province," introduced the student as "Shin Jung-in, a third-year student at Sabuk Middle School who is studying gugak and nurturing my dreams." She explained that she wanted to express her gratitude as the new year began.

Shin Jung-in shared that she had been able to discover her potential and solidify her dreams while studying arts in Gangwon Province. She highlighted her gold medal win at the Gangwon Student Arts Festival last year, which gave her further confidence in her chosen path.

"I realized how precious it is to have the opportunity to learn and a stage to showcase my talents," she wrote. "I believe all of this is thanks to the educational environment that you, Superintendent Shin, have created, where students can discover and develop their talents."

She expressed deep appreciation for Superintendent Shin's support, stating, "I am deeply grateful for your generous support so that students in Gangwon Province can nurture their dreams not only in arts but also in various fields, and for your efforts for the growth of each and every student."

Shin Jung-in also shared her personal growth, saying, "I am experiencing firsthand that learning is not just about accumulating knowledge, but also about discovering oneself and moving towards a wider world."

She further acknowledged the impact of Superintendent Shin's policies and support, stating, "I am learning a lot from how much strength the educational policies and support you are creating give to students." She pledged to cherish the opportunities given to her and become a student who works harder.

In closing, Shin Jung-in wished Superintendent Shin health and happiness in the new year and hoped for the further development of Gangwon education. She expressed her commitment to giving back and sharing what she has learned, inspired by the warm interest and support she received.

Superintendent Shin responded to the letter by saying, "I received a beautiful handwritten letter when I came to work today. This is what makes this job so rewarding."

This heartwarming story highlights the positive impact of educational support and the power of gratitude. It serves as an inspiration to students and educators alike.
