
SEOUL, South Korea – The 40th Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 2025) has officially opened its doors at COEX, Seoul, marking a significant milestone in the global medical industry. From March 20th to 23rd, this landmark event will display the latest advancements in medical technology and healthcare solutions.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, KIMES 2025 has expanded to occupy a record-breaking 43,500㎡ of exhibition space, encompassing all of COEX’s Halls A, B, C, D, and E, as well as the Grand Ballroom, The Platz, and the lobby areas. The event features approximately 1,450 leading companies from both domestic and international sectors, showcasing an impressive array of over 37,000 medical products.
The opening day witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with medical professionals, academics, and industry experts from around the globe flocking to explore the cutting-edge technologies on display. The exhibition has attracted a diverse audience, including visitors from the Middle East, China, and Japan, fostering numerous business meetings and networking opportunities.
This year’s event is organized into specialized zones, including:
Hall A: Treatment and Medical Information Systems
Hall B & Grand Ballroom: Healthcare and Rehabilitation Devices, and the INSPIRE (Digital Health) Special Hall
The Platz: Global Medical Device Export Consultation
Hall C: Inspection and Diagnostic Devices, and Medical Information Systems
Hall D & E: IMAGING and Hospital Facilities, MedicomteK (Medical Device Parts & Material Technology Exhibition), Beauty & Derma Special Hall, and General Medical Equipment
Notable participants include global giants such as GE Healthcare, Philips, Samsung Electronics, and LG Electronics, alongside innovative medical AI companies like Vuno, AItricks, and Waysen. Healthcare leaders such as Inbody and Bodyfriend are also present, highlighting the convergence of technology and wellness.
In addition to the exhibitions, KIMES 2025 features several concurrent events, including the MedicomteK 2025, focusing on advanced medical device components and materials. The 15th Global Healthcare & Medical Tourism Conference, themed "AI-based personalized healthcare, now becoming daily life," aims to facilitate international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
A highlight of the event is the "2025 Global Medical Device Export Consultation (GMEP)," organized by KOTRA, which features 350 domestic companies and 150 overseas buyers from 46 countries, promoting global trade and export opportunities.
KIMES 2025 is co-hosted by Korea E&X, the Korea Medical Devices Industrial Cooperative Association, and the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association, with support from various government bodies and industry organizations.
This exhibition not only highlights the advancements in medical technology but also underscores South Korea’s position as a hub for medical innovation and global healthcare collaboration.
