Expanding creative perspectives through visual and performing arts field trips in Seoul on November 18

Exhibition viewing of ‘500 Years of Spanish Art’ at Hangaram Design Museum and musical ‘Frozen’ at Charlotte Theater
As part of the ‘2026 Artists Capability Enhancement Re-education’ project, the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Culture and Tourism Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) will recruit 30 local artists on a first-come, first-served basis starting October 26 to participate in the ‘Together Arts Excursion’ scheduled for November 18.
The recruitment is open to artists who reside in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province as of the public notice date and have completed their artist activity certification. Eligible applicants can download the application form from the Foundation’s website and submit it via email (jbart2024@hanmail.net). Applications may close early once the recruitment capacity is reached.
The ‘Together Arts Excursion’ will take place in Seoul, and all participation costs—including transportation, admission fees, lunch, and travel insurance—will be fully covered.
The Foundation has organized this program so that local artists can experience contemporary cultural and artistic trends and diverse artistic expressions by viewing special exhibitions and large-scale musicals that are difficult to access locally.
The field trip, encompassing both visual and performing arts, consists of viewing the special exhibition ‘500 Years of Spanish Art: Chronicles of Light and Darkness’ at the Hangaram Design Museum of the Seoul Arts Center and the musical ‘Frozen’ at the Charlotte Theater.
Participants will examine the chronological flow of Spanish art, artwork arrangement, lighting, and the composition and staging methods of the exhibition space during the exhibition tour. Through the musical, they will experience the stage implementation methods of a domestic premiere, cutting-edge stage technology, and multi-dimensional performance direction blending music and visual elements.
Choi Young-gyu, Secretary General, stated, “We hope this arts excursion serves as an opportunity for local artists to directly experience diverse cultural and arts fields and new expressive methods, thereby broadening their creative horizons,” adding, “We will continue to promote various programs that support the continuous artistic activities of local artists.”
Meanwhile, the Foundation’s ‘2026 Artists Capability Enhancement Re-education’ project is operated in conjunction with the theoretical education program ‘Arts-Based Path Finding’ and the field education program ‘Together Arts Excursion’. Following the AI theoretical education held a total of 8 times in Gochang and Jinan, this field education is expected to be an opportunity for local artists to experience rapidly changing cultural and arts trends from multiple angles and expand their creative spectrum.
