CHEONAN, SOUTH KOREA – The Chungnam National Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (CNICIPA) has inaugurated its 4th Cheonan Creative Studio Steering Committee, signaling a renewed commitment to fostering the region's creative ecosystem. The announcement, made on March 25th, underscores the agency's dedication to supporting original content creators and invigorating the local content industry.

The newly formed committee comprises seven experts, including professors from cultural and content-related academic departments and seasoned professionals from relevant industries. Over the next two years, the committee will play a pivotal advisory role in shaping the operational direction of the Cheonan Creative Studio, formulating effective support policies, and guiding key support initiatives. An appointment ceremony was held to officially induct the members, followed by in-depth discussions focused on enhancing the professionalism, objectivity, and overall effectiveness of the studio's operations for the year 2025.

Established in 2017, the Cheonan Creative Studio has served as a vital hub for local creators, providing a stable environment conducive to their work. The studio has actively supported a diverse range of creative endeavors, with a particular emphasis on story-driven content such as webtoons, web novels, films, and dramas, offering specialized training programs to nurture talent.

This year holds particular significance for CNICIPA as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. To mark this milestone, the agency aims to operate the Creative Studio program with even greater substance and impact. Key initiatives planned for the year include an expansion of specialized education focused on story-based Intellectual Property (IP), proactive efforts to commercialize content IPs and explore diverse sales channels, and an increase in networking opportunities designed to connect creators and industry professionals.

Kim Gok-mi, President of CNICIPA, emphasized the crucial role of the Creative Studio in the regional creative landscape. "The Creative Studio is a core platform that supports the growth of our local creators," stated President Kim. "By working closely with the Steering Committee, we are committed to developing practical and effective support measures that will empower our talented creators to achieve national-level competitiveness."

The launch of the 4th Cheonan Creative Studio Steering Committee reflects CNICIPA's ongoing efforts to strengthen the foundation of the local cultural industry and provide meaningful support for its creative workforce. As the agency celebrates two decades of service, this initiative promises to further enhance its impact on the region's burgeoning creative sector.
