ASUNCIÓN – A special lecture event was successfully held, where global giants of high-performance cycling gathered to share their rich experiences and knowledge. The lecture featured Spanish cycling hero Carlos Coloma, Paraguayan national cyclist David Ocampos, and young Spanish talent Jofre Cullell as speakers, engaging in an in-depth discussion on high-performance cycling.

This event was significant not only for hearing the experiences of three renowned cyclists but also for its comprehensive coverage of the multifaceted elements required to reach the pinnacle of the sport of cycling. The speakers generously shared the vivid knowledge and know-how they had acquired through numerous international competitions as professional athletes.

The main topics of the lecture encompassed a wide range of subjects, including the comprehensive preparation process for high-performance cycling competitions, the extreme physical and mental demands faced by professional cyclists, systematic training processes to achieve top-level competitiveness, and effective training plans, strategy development, and recovery techniques.

Carlos Coloma, drawing on his years of experience in international competitions, emphasized the importance of strategic thinking and crisis management skills required in actual races. He stressed the significance of mental fortitude, saying, "Simply having physical ability is not enough to reach the highest level. Continuous self-reflection and analysis are necessary to maximize one's strengths and compensate for weaknesses." He also advised young athletes to "never lose the attitude of constantly learning and challenging themselves."

David Ocampos detailed the physical challenges faced as a professional cyclist and the scientific training methods to overcome them. He emphasized, "Preventing injuries and maintaining peak condition amidst intense training and competition schedules are possible through continuous self-management and a professional support system." He highlighted the importance of systematic training plans, nutritional management, and adequate rest. In particular, he shared the development process of Paraguayan cycling and his own experiences, explaining the difficulties faced by athletes from developing countries and their efforts to overcome them, leaving a deep impression on the attendees.

Jofre Cullell, despite his young age, shared his experiences gained from making a mark on the international stage, emphasizing the importance of systematic training from a young age. He encouraged young athletes to grow steadily without being impatient, saying, "Building a solid foundation and training consistently from childhood is the most reliable way to succeed in the long run." He also explained the impact of the latest training trends and technological advancements on improving performance, emphasizing the importance of adapting to the constantly changing environment.

The lecture event went beyond simply delivering knowledge, with a lively question-and-answer session between the attendees and the speakers leading to more in-depth discussions. Young athletes actively participated by asking about training methods, race strategies, and ways to overcome psychological pressure they had been curious about. The speakers received enthusiastic responses by providing sincere and realistic advice based on their own experiences.

This event provided an unforgettable and valuable experience not only for young athletes aspiring to become future cycling talents but also for coaches guiding them and fans with a passion for cycling. By directly engaging with the experiences and knowledge of world-class athletes, participants were able to gain new inspiration for their own growth and development.

An official from the organizing body of the lecture stated, "We hope that this event will contribute, even in a small way, to the development and expansion of cycling in Korea," and added, "We will continue to organize such beneficial events to help illuminate the future of Korean cycling."

This lecture event was a precious opportunity to feel firsthand the passion and dedication of world-class athletes, going beyond mere knowledge transfer. It is expected that the participants will move towards a bright future for Korean cycling based on the inspiration and knowledge gained from this experience.
