Jeonju, South Korea - Jeonju, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and now increasingly recognized for its burgeoning garden scene, is set to host the 5th annual Jeonju Garden Industry Fair from May 9th to 13th. This premier event, the largest of its kind in South Korea, will transform the Jeonju World Cup Stadium plaza into a vibrant hub for all things gardening, attracting industry professionals, gardening enthusiasts, and the general public alike.

Under the overarching theme of "Our Garden, Our City, Our Tomorrow," the five-day fair promises a comprehensive showcase of the garden industry. Attendees can explore a vast array of garden plants, innovative tools, stylish accessories, and cutting-edge landscaping facilities presented by numerous domestic and potentially international exhibitors. Building on the success of last year's event, which drew 138 companies and an impressive 380,000 visitors, this year's fair aims to be even more engaging and expansive.

A key highlight of the 2025 fair will be the innovative "Garden Department Store" concept implemented throughout the event grounds. This unique approach will seamlessly blend shopping opportunities with captivating exhibitions, relaxing休憩 areas, and playful interactive spaces, creating a multifaceted experience for visitors of all ages.

Beyond the extensive industry exhibition, the Jeonju Garden Industry Fair will offer a diverse range of activities designed to immerse attendees in the world of horticulture and garden culture. These include:

Guided Garden Tours: Expert-led tours will provide insights into the diverse garden designs and plant selections on display.
Live Garden Creation Demonstrations: Skilled landscape artists will showcase their talents through live demonstrations of garden design and construction.
Engaging Cultural Programs: A variety of cultural programs related to gardening will offer interactive experiences for participants.
Hands-on Workshops: Attendees can participate in activities such as a stamp tour exploring different aspects of the fair, an auction of unique garden materials, and a workshop to create their own mini flower bouquets.
Photo Opportunities: Fun photo booths, including a "gardener life" concept, will provide memorable souvenirs.
Tasting Experiences: Visitors can enjoy the aromatic flavors of herbal teas.
Jeonju Arboretum Excursion: A special program will offer guided tours of the beautiful Jeonju Arboretum, further enriching the garden experience.
Recognizing the popularity of hands-on activities, the organizers have implemented a pre-registration system for 50% of the participation-based events. Interested individuals can secure their spots by registering through the official fair website.

Lee Young-seop, Director of Jeonju City's Resource Circulation and Greenery Bureau, emphasized the significance of the event, stating, "This fair will serve as a vital platform for fostering a thriving garden culture by bringing together industry stakeholders and the community. We are committed to promoting a sustainable approach to gardening and enhancing the green spaces within our city."

The Jeonju Garden Industry Fair is poised to be a significant event, not only for the garden industry in South Korea but also for promoting urban greening and the appreciation of nature within the community. With its diverse offerings and engaging atmosphere, it promises to be a must-visit event in May.
