Intelligent filming robot, 'Gensis Studio.'    (C) Busan City

BUSAN, South Korea – The city of Busan announced on November 6th that 12 local companies have been honored with the coveted CES Best of Innovation Award and CES Innovation Award ahead of 'CES 2026,' the world's largest consumer electronics show, scheduled for January next year in Las Vegas, USA. This marks the highest number of awards ever received by Busan companies since the city began supporting SMEs' participation in 2021.

Top Honors: Best of Innovation Award Winners

This year is particularly significant as Busan companies secured the prestigious CES Best of Innovation Award. The two top award recipients are:

CrossHub: Recognized for their 'IDBlock' technology, a blockchain-based 4th generation hybrid identity authentication solution, firmly establishing Busan's technological prowess in the global market.
StudioLab: A three-time consecutive award winner, recognized in the spatial computing category for their intelligent filming robot, 'Gensis Studio.' The robot was acknowledged for its technological excellence and mass-market appeal.
The city of Busan credits these top awards as the successful outcome of its sustained efforts to foster the blockchain and robotics industries through proprietary projects.

Innovation Award Recipients

The companies receiving the CES Innovation Award include:

CIT (씨아이티)
Dataflare (데이터플레어)
Two Hands Interactive (투핸즈인터랙티브)
Sharpen Gote (샤픈고트)
Vision Tech (비젼테크)
Hub Platform (허브플렛폼)
Powercool (파워쿨)
Viewtify Technology (뷰런테크놀로지)
Moss (모스)
One additional award winner will be announced at 'CES 2026' itself. CES typically presents Innovation Awards to approximately 360 companies across 35 categories annually.

Boosting Global Presence

Busan City, along with its affiliated institutions and local universities, has been actively working to enable small and startup enterprises in future high-tech industries to participate in 'CES 2026.'

The city has secured a record 30 booths, the largest scale to date.
A total of 28 Busan companies are set to participate in the event in January.
Mayor Park Heong-joon commented, "This is a meaningful achievement where Busan companies have gained global recognition for their technology and creativity." He added, "We will strengthen the industrial ecosystem based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge technology to support Busan enterprises in showcasing their competitiveness on the world stage."
