Daegu, South Korea – The Daegu City Yeongjeong Korean Traditional Music Center is set to launch its 2025 season with a vibrant performance by the Seodo Band, pioneers of the innovative "Joseon-Pop" genre. The concert will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the center's main hall.

Seodo Band is renowned for its unique fusion of Korean traditional music and contemporary pop, offering a fresh interpretation of age-old melodies. The band, consisting of vocalist Seodo, keyboardist Kim Seong-hyeon, guitarist Yeon Tae-hee, bassist Kim Tae-ju, and drummer Lee Hwan, has garnered critical acclaim, including awards from the Korean Traditional Music New Artist Awards and the Korea University Traditional Music Festival. They also gained widespread recognition through their appearances on JTBC's "Phantom Singer" and KBS's "Immortal Songs."

Vocalist Seodo's musical journey began with traditional Pansori training from a young age, followed by studies in contemporary music, creating a unique cross-genre style. His stage name, "Seodo," is a combination of his surname and King Sejong's given name, embodying his commitment to blending tradition with modernity.

The concert will feature a diverse repertoire, including their powerful rendition of "Bada" from "Phantom Singer," the modern rhythmic interpretation of "Deongdeokgung," and the rock-infused "Nilniri." Audiences will also be treated to the debut of their 2025 single, "Flying In," and popular tracks like "Sarangga," "Ibyeolga," "Baennorae," "Saeparan A-i", "Ganggangsullae", "BUK!" showcasing the band's dynamic range.

"This performance will offer a unique opportunity to discover the new charm of traditional music through the 'Joseon-Pop' genre, which combines the popularity of Korean traditional music with modern sensibilities," said a representative from the Daegu City Yeongjeong Korean Traditional Music Center. "We invite everyone to experience this special event."

Tickets are priced at 30,000 KRW for R seats and 20,000 KRW for S seats. Reservations can be made through the Daegu City Yeongjeong Korean Traditional Music Center website and Interpark website. For further inquiries, please contact 042-270-8500.
