Korean content has once again proven its formidable presence on the global stage, sweeping the top spots in both the film and TV show categories on Netflix. The sci-fi disaster film The Great Flood, starring Kim Da-mi, and the hit reality competition Culinary Class Wars 2 have simultaneously climbed to the summit of the global rankings.

According to Netflix on the 24th, The Great Flood, released on the 19th, recorded 27.9 million views within just three days of its debut, securing the No. 1 position in the Global Top 10 Films (Non-English) category. The film ranked first in 54 countries, including Spain, Brazil, and Thailand, and entered the Top 10 in a total of 93 countries. Notably, its viewership surpassed that of the leading English-language film, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (20.9 million views), demonstrating its immense global appeal.

Directed by Kim Byung-woo, The Great Flood follows the story of Anna (Kim Da-mi), who becomes humanity's last hope amidst a massive disaster, exploring her internal conflict between survival and the preservation of the human race.

In the TV sector, Culinary Class Wars 2 maintained its dominance, recording 5.5 million views from the 15th to the 21st. The show has now secured the No. 1 spot in the Non-English TV Show category for two consecutive years. Domestically, it remains a sensation, ranking first in overall popularity across both TV and OTT platforms according to Good Data Corporation.

Netflix commented, "The simultaneous dominance of Korean content in both the film and TV categories demonstrates the power of K-content," highlighting its global competitiveness.
