ULM, Germany/SWITZERLAND – Magirus, a leading manufacturer of firefighting vehicles and equipment, has announced the formation of Magirus Schweiz GmbH, a new subsidiary based in Switzerland. This strategic move aims to strengthen Magirus's presence in the Swiss market and provide enhanced support to the nation's fire services.

The new company, formed from the fire protection division of Iveco Schweiz AG, will operate independently, focusing on the sale, maintenance, and servicing of a comprehensive range of firefighting vehicles and systems. This includes turntable ladders, pumpers, robotics, digital systems, and other cutting-edge equipment tailored to meet the specific needs of Swiss fire brigades.

"The establishment of Magirus Schweiz GmbH underscores our commitment to delivering state-of-the-art solutions to our Swiss customers," stated Thomas Hilse, CEO of Magirus. "Our aim is to provide Swiss fire brigades with customised, modern products that optimise their operational capabilities and support them in fulfilling their demanding tasks."

A key aspect of this transition is the continuity of service. Magirus has ensured that the existing customer service and sales teams from Iveco Schweiz AG will remain in place, guaranteeing uninterrupted support for their clients. "The experienced sales and customer service team, which has already built up an excellent reputation, will remain the first point of contact at the same location for Swiss customers under the new company structure," confirmed Marc Kuntz, Director Sales and Customer Service.

The management team of Magirus Schweiz GmbH comprises Linda Schmidt (Customer Service), Bruno Müller (Sales), and Marco Hauk (Magirus GmbH, Ulm), ensuring a blend of local expertise and corporate oversight.

The company's operations will emphasize modern firefighting technologies, including robotics and digital systems, reflecting Magirus's commitment to innovation in the emergency services sector.

This expansion aligns with Magirus's broader international development strategy, reinforcing its dedication to delivering products tailored to national fire service requirements. By establishing a dedicated Swiss subsidiary, Magirus aims to provide more focused and efficient services to its customers in Switzerland.

Magirus has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining seamless service for existing customers while simultaneously expanding its technological offerings, ensuring Swiss fire brigades are equipped with the latest advancements in firefighting technology.
