JEONJU — The "2026 Jeonbuk Agricultural & Specialty Products Festival" officially opened its doors on October 30 for a vibrant three-day run at the western parking lot of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Provincial Office performance hall.

Organized by AdPunch Co., Ltd. and the Jeonbuk Ilbo, the opening ceremony took place at 2:00 PM on the first day, drawing a large crowd of distinguished guests and local residents.

Designed as a direct-market trading venue, the event aims to bolster sales channels for local farmers and businesses while offering consumers high-quality agricultural goods at reasonable prices. By cutting out complex distribution channels, the festival creates a direct bridge between producers and buyers.

Visitors to the venue can explore and purchase a wide array of seasonal agricultural and specialty items produced across the province, alongside diverse bio-products developed by local enterprises.

Attending the opening ceremony, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Governor Lee Won-taek delivered a congratulatory address emphasizing the province's future vision.

"Amid rapidly changing environments such as the climate crisis and population decline, we will foster the bio-convergence industry to develop Jeonbuk into the core hub of South Korea's agricultural and life sciences industry," Governor Lee stated. "We will listen closely to voices on the ground to build a sustainable agricultural ecosystem where farmers' incomes rise and both agricultural households and consumers smile together."

He added, "I hope this event serves as a valuable opportunity for farmers to expand new market channels and for residents to encounter exceptional local specialty products at reasonable prices."
