On this day, the 30th passenger to check-in for Korean Air Flight KE024 to Incheon was given a round-trip economy ticket from San Francisco to Incheon.

On this day, Korean Air delivered a special gift to all passengers on flight KE024 to commemorate its 30th anniversary. In particular, it is evaluated as having greatly contributed to the development of industries such as IT and semiconductors in Korea by increasing accessibility to Silicon Valley near San Francisco.
The San Francisco route carried a total of 176,000 passengers last year, the second largest number of passengers among routes in the western United States after Los Angeles (LA). Currently, the large Boeing 777 aircraft is being used on the San Francisco route to provide comfortable service to passengers.
