KAIST Global Studio Corporate-Student Co-Growth Program
First Performance Sharing Meeting Held, Confirming the Potential of a Collaborative Model with 10 Participating Companies

On the 6th, Daejeon City held the performance sharing meeting for the "Corporate-Student Co-Growth Program" at the KAIST Global Studio (21 Wolpyeongjung-ro).

The "Corporate-Student Co-Growth Program" is a newly planned initiative this year that reflects the demands of both corporations and students. It was launched to connect KAIST's outstanding talent with businesses, solve internal problems encountered in management and business fields, and link the university's expertise and creative ideas to corporate growth.

In particular, rather than simply presenting corporate challenges to students, the program focused on identifying tasks requiring resolution based on each company's management environment and business characteristics, and then jointly exploring practical improvement measures by utilizing the specialized knowledge and analytical capabilities of KAIST students.

Ten tenant companies and KAIST students participated in this program, selecting tasks tailored to each company's needs and carrying them out jointly for about three months from August to October.

Participating companies presented various tasks reflecting their industrial characteristics and technological fields, such as: ▲ "Can content become a scent?" (Utilizing artificial intelligence and scent design technology) ▲ "How well do we understand global consumers' hair concerns?" and ▲ "Who is the true customer of medical artificial intelligence?"

Students applied by selecting tasks of interest, and were matched to form teams ranging from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 3 students per task, deriving concrete solution ideas that took into account technology application methods and business perspectives.

This performance sharing meeting shared how the issues presented by the companies were analyzed and materialized into solutions through collaboration with students. This is significant in that it confirmed the potential of a collaborative model showing how the university's top talent can contribute to solving the actual problems of corporations.

Meanwhile, an official from Daejeon City stated, "KAIST's outstanding talent and specialized research capabilities are an important foundation driving corporate technological competitiveness and regional industrial development," adding, "Moving forward, we will expand the Corporate-Student Co-Growth Program where KAIST students and businesses can grow together, making efforts so that the university's top talent can contribute to the growth and development of regional enterprises."
