Postecoglou Calls for Collaboration to Manage Son Heung-min's Injury

London, England – Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has called for closer cooperation with the South Korean national team to manage the ongoing injury concerns of star forward Son Heung-min.

Speaking ahead of Tottenham's match against Ipswich Town on Tuesday, Postecoglou expressed his desire to ensure Son's long-term fitness. "He's had a recurrence of an injury he picked up earlier in the season," Postecoglou said. "The last thing we want is to lose him again."

The Australian manager emphasized the importance of a collaborative approach to managing Son's workload. "We want a healthy Son Heung-min," Postecoglou stated. "If he can maintain his fitness and contribute to both Tottenham and the South Korean national team, it's a win-win situation."

Son has been struggling with a hamstring injury since September, when he picked up the problem during a Europa League match against Qarabag. Despite a brief return to action, the injury flared up again, forcing him to miss several games.

The South Korean forward made his comeback against Aston Villa last weekend and provided an assist but was substituted early in the second half, expressing his frustration at being taken off.

South Korea's national team manager, Hong Myung-bo, has included Son in his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, but has emphasized the importance of managing his workload. "The most important thing is Son's condition and physical fitness," Hong said. "Protecting him is our fundamental principle."

Tottenham will be hoping that they can find a way to manage Son's injury effectively, allowing him to make a full recovery and contribute to the team's success this season.
