[Global Economic Times] Representative local agricultural products such as Mudeungsan watermelon, kimchi, and traditional liquor are visiting Daegu.

In Gwangju Metropolitan City, 12 local companies, including Mudeungsan watermelon, kimchi, sauces, Bugak, bakery, tea, traditional liquor, and processed foods, will participate in the '24th Daegu International Food Industry Exhibition' held at EXCO in Daegu from the 28th to the 31st. He said he would.

Gwangju City and Daegu City have been engaging in exchanges for the mutual development of the food industry through the ‘Moonlight Alliance Hall’, a food exhibition held in both cities for 11 years since 2013.

In particular, this year, the ‘Moonlight Alliance Hall’ will feature exhibitions and promotions of agricultural products from both Gwangju and Daegu cities, as well as a Mudeungsan watermelon photo zone and representative food experience and tasting events. We also plan to promote the 31st Gwangju Kimchi Festival and Gwangju Food Fair, which will be held in October.

Nam Taek-song, head of the Agricultural and Animal Policy Department, said, “The Moonlight Alliance Hall is a venue for exchange that showcases the representative food groups of Gwangju and Daegu in one place,” and added, “We will promote various projects to discover and foster excellent local agricultural and food companies.”

Meanwhile, the '2024 Gwangju Food Fair' will be held at the Kimdaejung Convention Center for four days from October 17 to 20 under the theme of 'Food Tech Gwangju Metropolitan City's Future New Growth Industry Development', and will be held at the Gwangju International Tea Culture Exhibition with 300 companies and 450 booths.
