SEOUL, South Korea – Jin Air, a prominent South Korean low-cost carrier, has announced the resumption of its Incheon-Qingdao (China) route after a hiatus of approximately two years, signaling a positive step towards increased connectivity and tourism between South Korea and the vibrant coastal city. The airline will commence daily flights starting May 30th, offering greater convenience for both leisure and business travelers.

The daily service will depart from Incheon International Airport (ICN) at two different times depending on the day of the week: 1:50 PM KST on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and 12:15 PM KST on Thursdays. The flight duration is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, making it a swift and accessible journey to the heart of Shandong province.

Tickets for the newly reinstated Incheon-Qingdao route are now available for booking through Jin Air's official website and its mobile web and application platforms. As an added convenience, all passengers will benefit from a complimentary checked baggage allowance of 15kg.

Jin Air highlighted Qingdao's allure as a picturesque coastal metropolis situated on China's Shandong Peninsula. The city is renowned for its captivating blend of European-influenced architecture, particularly from its German colonial past, and stunning natural landscapes, including pristine beaches and verdant parks. This unique fusion offers a diverse range of experiences for visitors.

Qingdao boasts a wealth of attractions, catering to various interests. Among the must-see landmarks are the iconic Zhanqiao Pier (栈桥), celebrated as the foremost of the 'Ten Scenic Views of Qingdao' and a symbol of the city's maritime heritage. Badaguan (八大关), also known as the "Eight Great Passes," is a charming district characterized by its diverse collection of European-style villas with distinctive red roofs, set against the backdrop of the azure sea.

For enthusiasts of the popular beverage, the Qingdao Beer Museum (青岛啤酒博物馆) provides an insightful journey into the history and brewing process of the world-renowned Qingdao beer. The May Fourth Square (五四广场) stands as a testament to the city's modern dynamism, featuring impressive contemporary architecture and a vast open space. For breathtaking panoramic views of the cityscape, the Qingdao TV Tower (青岛电视塔) is an unmissable destination.

Jin Air specifically pointed out the enchanting evening spectacle at May Fourth Square, where the surrounding high-rise buildings illuminate with vibrant LED displays, creating a mesmerizing ambiance that leaves a lasting impression on visitors.

To commemorate the resumption of the Qingdao route and encourage travel, Jin Air has launched a special promotional offer. From April 29th to May 3rd, customers can avail themselves of a 10% discount on flight fares for the Incheon-Qingdao route. By applying a designated promotion code during the booking process, one-way tickets can be secured for as low as 71,600 KRW (approximately $52 USD, subject to exchange rate fluctuations).

Furthermore, Jin Air is providing an additional perk of a 5kg supplementary checked baggage allowance coupon. This offer, combined with the standard 15kg free allowance, allows passengers to travel with a total of 20kg of checked baggage at no extra cost. This promotional benefit is applicable for flights scheduled between May 30th and July 17th. The coupon can be easily downloaded from the dedicated promotion page on the Jin Air website and applied during the payment stage. More comprehensive details regarding the promotion can be found on the Jin Air official website.

Adding to the ease of travel, South Korean citizens holding ordinary electronic passports can currently enjoy visa-free entry into China for tourism, business, and visits to relatives or for exchange activities for a stay of up to 30 days. This favorable policy, in effect until the end of the current year, further enhances the appeal of Qingdao as a readily accessible destination for South Koreans.

The resumption of the Incheon-Qingdao route by Jin Air is expected to stimulate tourism and foster stronger ties between the two regions, offering travelers a convenient and affordable gateway to explore the captivating charm and rich cultural heritage of Qingdao.
