[Global Economic Times] The Trade Committee of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held the 453rd Trade Committee meeting on October 17 and made the final decision that the domestic industry is suffering damage due to dumping imports of Chinese PET resin (polyethylene terephthalate resin), and that Chinese PET resin It was decided to recommend to the Minister of Strategy and Finance that an anti-dumping tariff of 7.00 to 7.98% be imposed for the next five years.

Meanwhile, regarding the anti-dumping investigation of cold-rolled stainless steel products from Vietnam, a preliminary determination was made that a causal relationship was established between dumping imports and damage to the domestic industry, and a provisional anti-dumping tariff of 3.66 to 11.37% was imposed to prevent damage occurring during the main investigation period. It was decided to propose this to the Minister of Strategy and Finance.


In addition, the Trade Commission ruled that the investigation into trade secret infringement of a body composition analysis device applied by Osteosis, a domestic company, against domestic company A did not infringe on the applicant's trade secrets, and ruled that it did not infringe on the applicant's trade secrets, and ruled that the trade secrets of the applicant were not infringed upon, and that the trade secrets of the applicant were not infringed upon, and that the trade secrets of the applicant were not violated. It was decided to open an investigation.

Meanwhile, the Trade Commission held a public hearing on damage to the domestic industry in the anti-dumping investigation of OPP film (stretched polypropylene film) produced in China, Indonesia, and Thailand in order to provide sufficient opportunity for interested parties to express their opinions and guarantee the right to defense. The OPP film anti-dumping investigation is scheduled to make a final decision in February 2025 after conducting local inspections at home and abroad.
