The Florida Gators football team offered a tantalizing glimpse of their upcoming season in a thrilling spring game held on April 12th at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. Senior running back Ja'kobi Jackson stole the show, rushing for 198 yards on 10 carries and scoring three touchdowns to lead the 'Blue Team' to a 38-32 victory.

The game drew an impressive crowd of 56,563 fans, marking the largest attendance for a Florida Gators spring game since 2009. The atmosphere was further electrified during halftime with a celebration honoring the Florida Gators basketball team's third national championship title.

The second half saw a near-dramatic comeback by the 'Orange Team,' who almost overcame an 18-point halftime deficit. Orange Team quarterback Harrison Bailey led the charge, throwing multiple touchdown passes in the latter half. Notably, freshman wide receiver Dallas Wilson made a strong impression, hauling in two touchdown passes from Bailey.

Wilson had a standout performance, catching 10 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. His 10 receptions broke the Florida Gators spring game record for most catches, and his 195 receiving yards tied the record set by Trevon Grimes in 2018.

Jackson powered the Blue Team's offense with consecutive touchdown runs of 23, 40, and 90 yards. Blue Team quarterback Aidan Warner completed 10 of 23 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns. For the Orange Team, Bailey completed 29 of 43 passes for 363 yards and three touchdowns but also threw one interception.

Starting quarterback DJ Lagway saw action but did not attempt a pass, recording only handoffs on his five offensive snaps.

The Orange Team started the game with a 3-point lead as a reward for winning team competitions.
