Nable Communications, a leading South Korean telecom software and 5G private network specialist, announced on August 7, 2026, that it has signed a major supply and deployment agreement with LG Uplus. The project aims to bolster network redundancy and expand wireless coverage for a 5G private network operating across key transportation infrastructure hubs.

The initiative focuses on strengthening the digital operations of critical mobility infrastructure, where high availability and rock-solid stability are essential. Under the terms of the agreement, Nable will handle the core network redundancy implementation and deploy additional Open Radio Units (ORU) within the Radio Access Network (RAN). These upgrades will minimize potential network disruptions while establishing a continuous and ultra-reliable wireless communication environment.

This contract highlights a growing industry trend: enterprise 5G private networks are moving beyond initial deployment into a phase of active operational scaling, capacity expansion, and continuous optimization.

A 5G private network is a dedicated, independent telecommunications infrastructure deployed by enterprises or institutions within specific facilities. Leveraging ultra-low latency, mission-critical reliability, and enhanced security, private 5G seamlessly connects real-time video feeds, mobile equipment, Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, robotics, and AI-driven control systems.

Demand for private networks is accelerating across industrial sectors that require seamless integration between heavy machinery, automated guided vehicles, and AI operations. In safety-critical sectors such as transportation, smart manufacturing, and logistics, network uptime directly dictates operational continuity, making dual-path redundancy and expansive coverage mandatory features.

Nable has solidified its position in this market by combining core software technology with extensive field expertise in network design, integration, and optimization. The company continues to build a strong track record across high-demand environments, including automated semiconductor plants and smart transit hubs.

"This contract demonstrates that 5G private networks have matured into an indispensable foundation for the digital transformation of mission-critical industrial infrastructure," said an official from Nable Communications. "By taking charge of network reinforcement and expansion, we have once again proven our end-to-end capability across the entire lifecycle of private networks."

The company added that it plans to aggressively expand its service footprint across semiconductor manufacturing, smart factories, logistics hubs, and public infrastructure projects where uninterrupted, real-time connectivity is paramount.
