LOS ANGELES — The vocal trio behind HUNTR/X, the fictional K-pop girl group at the center of the wildly popular Netflix animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters," have officially made their debut in the world of live American television, captivating audiences with the smash hit "Golden."

EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—who lend their voices to the group's members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, respectively—first surprised fans with a cameo on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) on Saturday, October 4. Their appearance, which featured the first-ever live performance of their viral hit "Golden," was part of a sketch hosted by musician Bad Bunny. The performance instantly went viral, with the SNL clip garnering over 1.5 million views on YouTube in less than a day.

This highly anticipated live debut follows the immense global success of the film, often shortened to 'Kedehun,' which has remained a mainstay on Netflix's Top 10 list since its June release. The movie's soundtrack has been equally successful, with "Golden" topping numerous global charts and making history for a female K-pop group. The trio previously made a real-world appearance together at the MTV Video Music Awards last month, fueling speculation about live performances.

Full Live Performance and Interview Set for 'The Tonight Show'

The three singers are set to continue their television streak on Tuesday, October 7, with a guest appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." This marks their first full live performance of "Golden" and their first televised interview together as the voices of HUNTR/X. They will join Fallon on the couch to discuss the extraordinary success of the animated feature and its chart-topping soundtrack.

The vocalists' foray onto U.S. late-night television underscores the massive crossover appeal of "K-Pop Demon Hunters," which has successfully blended the global phenomena of K-pop with an urban fantasy action narrative. While the group's characters (Rumi, Mira, and Zoey) are voiced in the film by actors Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-Young Yoo, the singers' performances have been pivotal to the film's musical acclaim.

EJAE Announces Solo Debut

Adding to the excitement, singer-songwriter EJAE, who is the singing voice for protagonist Rumi and a key songwriter for the film's tracks, used the moment to announce her plans to launch a solo music career.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, EJAE revealed that her debut solo single, "In Another World," is scheduled for release on October 24. The artist expressed her gratitude for the exposure received through the film, stating that she felt the time was right to share the songs she had written for her own project. The announcement further solidifies EJAE's transition from a prominent behind-the-scenes talent to a solo artist poised for the global stage, following the monumental success of the "K-Pop Demon Hunters" soundtrack.
