BNK Busan Bank announced on the 5th that it will revamp its regular deposit and savings products that offer preferential interest rates based on the performance of the professional baseball team, the Lotte Giants, after 18 years. This revision reflects customer feedback that the preferential interest rate condition, "advancement to the postseason," has become a "hope torture" due to the Lotte Giants' repeated failures to advance to the postseason since 2017.

Key Changes:

Product Name Change: From "Lotte Giants Fall Baseball Regular Deposit/Savings" to "Lotte Giants Victory Wish Deposit/Savings."
Preferential Interest Rate Condition Change: From postseason advancement to preferential interest rates based on regular season wins.

New Product Details:

Lotte Giants Victory Wish DepositBasic Preferential Interest Rate: Uniform application of 0.1%p Victory Wish preferential interest rate.
Additional Preferential Interest Rates:Customers with no deposit/savings account history within the last three years: 0.1%p.
70 or more wins in the regular season: 0.05%p.
80 or more wins in the regular season: 0.1%p.
Up to 0.2%p additional based on transaction performance.
Lotte Giants Victory Wish SavingsBasic Preferential Interest Rate: 0.05%p for every 20 wins in the Lotte Giants regular season (up to 0.2%p).
Additional Preferential Interest Rates:Certification of attendance at Lotte Giants home games during the regular season: 0.05%p per visit (up to 0.1%p).
Simultaneous subscription to Victory Wish Deposit: 0.1%p.
Up to 0.3%p based on transaction performance.
Customers with no deposit/savings account history within the last three years: 0.1%p.

Lotte Giants Recent Performance and Outlook:

The Lotte Giants have failed to advance to the postseason for seven consecutive seasons since the 2017 semi-playoffs. However, this year, they have reorganized the team around young hitters called the "Yoon Go Na Hwang Son," after recruiting manager Kim Tae-hyung. They are also aiming for postseason advancement by signing a new foreign pitcher, Tugger Davidson, and strengthening their pitching staff.
