Manama, Bahrain – March 21, 2025 – Bahrain recently marked the successful conclusion of its annual Holy Quran competition, organized by the Sunni Endowments, with a grand closing ceremony that celebrated both achievement and inclusivity. This year’s event highlighted the nation's commitment to promoting religious education and fostering a deep connection with the Quran across all segments of society, including individuals with disabilities.

Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al-Hajri, a key figure in the organization, emphasized the competition’s role in strengthening participants' relationship with the Holy Quran and improving their recitation skills. "This competition is vital for encouraging our youth to preserve the Quran, understand its teachings, and reflect on its profound wisdom," he stated. He also underscored the Sunni Endowments’ dedication to creating an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of their challenges, can engage with religious activities.

The ceremony was also graced by الاستاذ حسين الحليبي, President of the Association of Friends of Memorizers, who lauded the collaborative efforts that contributed to the competition's success. He praised the students' dedication and the thorough training they received, highlighting the community's commitment to enhancing Quranic literacy across all age groups.

The event, which saw enthusiastic participation from various sectors of the community, not only honored the top memorizers but also provided encouragement to all participants, fostering a spirit of unity and respect. The competition aligns with the vision of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who champions the dissemination of Islamic values and the strengthening of social bonds through religious education.

As Bahrain continues to nurture a spiritually aware society, the Holy Quran competition stands as a testament to the nation's dedication to its cultural heritage and the promotion of inclusivity. The ongoing support from the Sunni Endowments and the tireless efforts of community leaders like Sheikh Dr. Al-Hajri and الاستاذ حسين الحليبي reaffirm the importance of Quranic education as a cornerstone of Bahrain's identity and its vision for a harmonious future.
