SEOUL, South Korea – MBC United Camp is launching an intensive English immersion program this summer vacation, strategically located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, with integrated excursions to neighboring Singapore. The camp caters to elementary and middle school students seeking significant English language improvement within a short timeframe, combined with unique cultural and recreational experiences.

The program offers flexible durations, with participants able to choose between a three-week session running from July 27th to August 16th, and a four-week option extending from July 20th to August 16th. Organizers emphasize the camp's dual focus: accelerating English proficiency and providing exposure to world-class attractions in Singapore.

A key advantage of the camp's location is Johor Bahru's close proximity to Singapore, a mere 50 kilometers or approximately an hour's drive away. Leveraging this geographical convenience, students will embark on weekly excursions to iconic Singaporean landmarks. These include the renowned Universal Studios Singapore for entertainment and adventure, Adventure Cove Waterpark for aquatic thrills, and the architectural marvel of Marina Bay Sands, offering a glimpse into Singapore's modern urban landscape. This integration of sightseeing into the curriculum aims to provide a richer, more engaging learning environment where students can apply their English skills in real-world contexts and broaden their cultural understanding beyond the classroom.

Johor Bahru has established itself as a reputable hub for international education, boasting a safe environment and a well-developed English language education infrastructure. The region is home to numerous international schools and English language camps, attracted by its quality of life and educational standards. MBC United Camp capitalizes on this established environment by implementing a personalized learning approach. Upon arrival, students will undergo two comprehensive level tests. These assessments will be crucial in tailoring the curriculum to meet the individual needs and current proficiency levels of each student, ensuring that the instruction is both challenging and supportive.

The daily schedule is structured for intensive language acquisition, with a total of eight hours dedicated to English learning. This comprises six hours of small-group instruction (1:8 student-to-teacher ratio) led by native English-speaking teachers, focusing on conversational fluency, grammar, and vocabulary development. Complementing this is two hours of in-depth classes (1:4 ratio) taught by experienced local educators, providing more focused attention and addressing specific learning challenges. Furthermore, students will engage in 90 minutes of self-directed study each day, covering both English and mathematics, fostering independent learning habits and reinforcing classroom concepts.

Recognizing the importance of a supportive and secure living environment, students will be accommodated in a hotel resort throughout the duration of the camp. The accommodation will be supervised around the clock by dedicated resident chaperones and a comprehensive management team. This robust care system ensures the safety and well-being of the students, providing peace of mind for both first-time overseas campers and their parents. The combination of comfortable lodging and a structured daily routine aims to create an optimal environment for focused learning and personal growth.

Beyond the Johor Bahru and Singapore program, MBC United Camp offers a diverse portfolio of international summer camps. These include programs in San Diego, USA, and New Zealand, where students integrate into regular classes with local students, providing a truly immersive academic experience. For those interested in combining English learning with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) activities and cultural exchange, camps are available in Los Angeles and Maryland in the USA, as well as in Canada and Saipan. These STEAM camps emphasize collaborative learning and intercultural interaction through engaging projects and activities.

MBC United Camp also caters to families seeking an overseas educational experience, offering parent-accompanied family camps in popular destinations such as Bali, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, Saipan, Bangkok, and Da Nang. These programs allow families to learn and travel together, creating lasting memories while enhancing English language skills.

With a total of 20 programs across 10 countries, MBC United Camp demonstrates a commitment to providing a wide range of international educational opportunities. The Johor Bahru and Singapore English immersion camp stands out for its strategic location, intensive curriculum focused on rapid skill improvement, and the integration of cultural excursions. Further details about all overseas English camp offerings can be found on the MBC United Camp website, providing parents and students with comprehensive information to make informed decisions about their summer learning adventure. The program's emphasis on short-term, impactful English language development, coupled with the enriching experiences of exploring Singapore, positions it as a compelling option for students seeking to make significant progress in their English proficiency while broadening their horizons.
