Seoul's Gangseo-gu held the '10th Gangseo-gu Multicultural Festival and Family Event' at the Gomdallae Culture & Welfare Center in Hwagok-dong on the 24th.

According to Gangseo-gu on the 26th, this event was prepared as a venue for communication and harmony, where families from diverse cultural backgrounds could gather, experience each other's cultures, and foster understanding.

Under the theme of 'Good to be Together, Embracing Diversity,' the festival featured various programs including multicultural performances, cultural experiences, and a sharing bazaar. Notably, this year's event was organized into four themes – Performance Square, Experience Square, Cooking Square, and Sharing Square – offering abundant sights and entertainment.

The pre-event featured performances by a multicultural youth orchestra and choir. The opening ceremony at 11 AM included a commendation ceremony for exemplary couples and a "Hope Gourd" breaking event. The Performance Square showcased a variety of stages, including a world traditional costume fashion show, world culture performances, and a talent show for multicultural families.

The Experience Square offered unique hands-on programs such as making Mexican hats and Cambodian flutes, playing musical instruments and games from around the world, and trying on traditional costumes. Family-centered experiences like games, family love missions, and "Insaengnecut" (photo booths) were also available for families to enjoy together.

The Cooking Square hosted a World Food Festival where visitors could taste diverse dishes from six countries, offering a special experience of a global culinary journey.

The Sharing Square also held a bazaar selling multicultural foods like snacks and ramen from around the world, as well as handicrafts from various countries including Africa, Uzbekistan, and Russia.

Gangseo-gu Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, "I hope this festival serves as an opportunity for residents from diverse cultural backgrounds to understand and respect each other, fostering a healthy local community where everyone can live together in harmony."
