The National Pension Service Jeonju Wanju Branch (Director Jeong Jeong-chang) announced on the 10th that the maximum monthly payment for basic pensions will be increased to 342,510 won for single households in 2025, reflecting the previous year's consumer price change rate (2.3%). This is an increase of 7,700 won from the previous year, and married couples can receive up to 548,000 won per month.
The 2025 eligibility criteria amount has also been increased compared to the previous year, with a 150,000 won increase for single households and a 240,000 won increase for married couples. Accordingly, single households with a monthly income recognized amount of 2,280,000 won or less and married couples with 3,648,000 won or less are eligible to receive the basic pension.
The amount of natural consumption excluded from other assets or disposal assets has also been increased. For single households, it is 2,512,677 won, and for married couples, it is 3,048,887 won, an increase of 155,348 won and 183,930 won, respectively.
For working seniors, the earned income deduction amount has been adjusted to 1,120,000 won, reflecting the minimum wage increase (10,030 won in 2025 from 9,860 won in 2024). This is an increase of 20,000 won from the previous year's 1,100,000 won.
Those born in 1960 who turn 65 this year are eligible for new applications, and applications can be made one month prior to the month of their birthday. Applications can be made by visiting a branch of the National Pension Service or an administrative welfare center in eup, myeon, or dong nationwide. Branch Manager Jeong Jeong-chang said, "We will actively promote this year's system changes so that the corporation can contribute more to the stable living and happy old age of the elderly.
