Incheon, South Korea – On March 14th, at 10:20 AM, the Inspire Grand Ballroom in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, witnessed the spectacular launch of the all-new Volkswagen Golf, a true icon of the automotive world. This event marked the beginning of a new era for the Golf, which has a 51-year legacy, and featured a parade of previous Golf models, adding to the significance of the occasion.

A Legendary Model Returns:

A Historic Moment: Golf models from the 1st to the 8th generations were showcased, creating a magnificent spectacle. Notably, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation models, rarely seen in South Korea, were unveiled, captivating the audience.
New Era: The new golf made its Korean debut with a strong presence, equipped with a 'illuminated' logo on the front.
Global Bestseller: Since its initial release in 1974, the Golf has sold over 37 million units worldwide, becoming a symbol of Volkswagen. In South Korea, it has recorded cumulative sales of 54,644 units from 2005 to 2024, leading the imported compact hatchback market.

Innovative Changes and Advanced Technology:

Evolved Design: The new Golf maintains its original silhouette while incorporating digital elements for a more refined appearance. Sharp LED headlights, a radiator grille light, and an illuminated emblem enhance the Golf's presence.
Advanced Infotainment System: Equipped with a 12.9-inch large display and the MIB4 infotainment system, it maximizes user convenience. Features include a screen split function, illuminated touch sliders, and 30-color ambient lighting.
Excellent Performance and Efficiency: Powered by the EA288 evo 2.0 TDI diesel engine and a 7-speed DSG transmission, it delivers a maximum output of 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 36.7kg·m. The combined fuel efficiency is 17.3km/ℓ, among the best in its class, and it can travel over 1,000km on a single tank.
Eco-Friendly Technology: By applying twin-dosing technology, it reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by approximately 80% compared to the previous model and meets the Euro 6d emission standards.

Competitive Pricing and Various Benefits:

Reasonable Price: The price of the new Golf is 40.07 million won for the Premium trim and 43.96 million won for the Prestige trim (including VAT).
Launch Commemoration Benefits: Volkswagen Korea offers various benefits, including a 2 million won vehicle registration fee support, black box installation, welcome kit, 5-year/150,000 km free warranty extension, and free support for accident vehicle insurance repair deductibles.

Volkswagen Korea's Ambition:

Til Scheer, CEO of Volkswagen Group Korea, stated, "In the Korean market, where SUVs and sedans are strong, the Golf will create a new trend with its differentiated value. We will provide the best satisfaction to customers who want a high-quality compact car with more refined technology and design."

Golf Opening a New Era:

The new Golf is expected to set a new standard in the Korean imported car market with its innovative technology, sophisticated design, and excellent efficiency.
