SK E&S Electric Link Secures Seoul's EV Fast-Charging Project for Unprecedented Fifth Year

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – SK E&S Electric Link, a prominent leader in South Korea's burgeoning electric vehicle (EV) charging sector, has achieved a significant milestone by being selected as the primary operator for the Seoul Metropolitan Government's electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure development project for the fifth consecutive year. This remarkable achievement, announced following a rigorous evaluation process detailed on the city's official website earlier this month, underscores the company's consistent reliability, technological prowess, and commitment to advancing EV adoption in the capital.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government's selection process for this crucial initiative involved a comprehensive assessment of various factors, including corporate creditworthiness, track record in charging service operation, the technical specifications of their charging hardware, and the quality of their customer support and overall operational management. Among the six companies chosen for the 2025 project, SK E&S Electric Link stands out as the sole entity to have maintained its position as a key partner in Seoul's EV charging infrastructure build-out since 2021.

This continued partnership grants SK E&S Electric Link the opportunity to develop essential fast-charging infrastructure at strategically identified locations across Seoul. In return for their investment and commitment, the company will receive financial subsidies from the city, facilitating the expansion of a robust and accessible charging network for EV owners. Beyond the installation phase, SK E&S Electric Link will also be responsible for the ongoing operation and maintenance of these charging stations, ensuring a seamless and convenient charging experience for electric vehicle users navigating the city.

This latest success in Seoul follows SK E&S Electric Link's recent selection in March as a key operator for the Korea Environment Corporation's national project to expand both fast and slow EV charging facilities. These consecutive wins at both the national and municipal levels firmly establish SK E&S Electric Link as an industry frontrunner, validating its superior technology and service capabilities.

Furthermore, SK E&S Electric Link has demonstrated its forward-thinking approach by becoming the first EV charging company to successfully register as an electronic financial business following the recent amendments to the Electronic Financial Transactions Act. This pioneering move positions the company at the forefront of regulatory compliance and highlights its commitment to providing secure and reliable payment solutions for EV charging services.

Looking ahead, SK E&S Electric Link remains dedicated to enhancing the convenience and accessibility of electric vehicle ownership.
