To spread a culture of sharing and alleviate the financial burden of child-rearing, Chungcheongbuk-do announced that it will host the “2026 Chungbuk Provincial Government Parenting Supplies Flea Market” on Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Chungbuk Provincial Government Culture Plaza 815 area.
Hosted by Chungcheongbuk-do and organized by the Chungcheongbuk-do Korea Daycare Association, this event is expected to welcome approximately 2,000 families with infants and toddlers across the province. It is designed as an autumn family festival where people can share items that children have outgrown with neighbors in need, allowing parents and children to laugh and enjoy together.
The venue will feature a total of 22 booths, including promotional booths by the Daycare Association and the Support Center for Child-Rearing, individual seller booths, and hands-on experience booths. Visitors can find essential parenting items for children's growth—such as toddler clothing, toys, and picture books—at reasonable prices, which is expected to ease household child-rearing burdens and contribute to resource recycling.

In addition, a rich lineup of play programs, including fun hands-on experiences and performances for children to directly participate in, has been prepared:
(DIY Experience)
Culture Plaza 815: Sea glass plaster air freshener
Picture Book Garden (3rd Floor): Pinwheels, keycap keyrings, jute bags
(Performances, etc.)
Culture Plaza 815: Magic show (11:00 AM – 11:30 AM), Bubble show (12:00 PM – 12:30 PM)
(Children's Musical)
“The Tale of Peter Rabbit”: 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM, 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM
(Amusement Rides)
5 types of rides for infants and toddlers, including a rail train, carousel rider, and mini Viking ride
Notably, to add deeper meaning to resource recycling and the culture of sharing, upcycling experience programs and fundraising activities will also be conducted with the cooperation of Seowon University (Regional-based Early Childhood Education and Childcare Innovation Project) and the Community Chest of Korea, adding a warm touch to the event.
Kim Kyung-hee, Director-General of Health and Welfare at Chungcheongbuk-do, stated, "This family-participatory event has been prepared so that children and families can enjoy happiness together through easing the economic burden of infant-rearing households and providing rich cultural experience opportunities. We ask for great interest and participation from families with infants and toddlers in the province."
