Taean, South Korea – December 17, 2024 – Taean County, located in South Chungcheong Province, is gearing up to launch its "2025 Visit Taean Year" with a grand ceremony on December 31st. The event will take place at the special stage of Kkotji Beach Park in Anmyeon-eup, beginning at 5 PM.

The ceremony aims to officially mark the start of the "2025 Visit Taean Year" and provide visitors and residents alike with unforgettable memories. The event is particularly significant as it will be held at Kkotji Beach, one of the three most famous sunset spots along the West Sea.

Pre-event Festivities and Main Ceremony

Prior to the main ceremony, a series of pre-event activities will commence at 2 PM, including a talent show, singing contest, and a performance by pop opera singer An Gap-sung.

The main event will feature the appointment of honorary ambassadors for the "Visit Taean Year," a promotional video screening, and a performance declaring the official start of the campaign.

Evening Entertainment and Family Fun

To add to the festivities, popular singers Na Tae-ju and Seo Young-eun will perform, followed by a dazzling fireworks display illuminating the West Sea.

Various booths will be set up for visitors to enjoy hands-on activities like making nacre keychains, knitting scarves, and flying kites. Additionally, information booths will showcase Taean's unique tourism offerings, including local cuisine, marine therapy, and horticultural therapy.

Anticipated Attendance and Safety Measures

Taean County officials anticipate an attendance of around 10,000 people, including both residents and visitors. To ensure a safe and enjoyable event, the county is implementing comprehensive safety measures.

"We expect the ceremony to serve as a strong foundation for attracting 20 million visitors annually starting next year," said a county official. "Considering the event coincides with the sunset and that we anticipate a large turnout, we are committed to prioritizing safety."

With its stunning natural beauty and diverse attractions, Taean County is poised to become a popular tourist destination in South Korea. The "2025 Visit Taean Year" campaign is expected to further enhance the county's appeal and contribute to the local economy.
