Seoul, South Korea – Asiana Airlines has announced it will launch mileage-exclusive flights to its popular US routes, providing its frequent flyers with enhanced redemption opportunities. Starting in April, the airline will dedicate its A380 aircraft, capable of carrying 495 passengers, solely for mileage redemption on select flights to Los Angeles and New York.

The airline will operate a total of six mileage-exclusive flights, with services to Los Angeles scheduled for April and May, and flights to New York in June. Reservations for these exclusive flights opened on March 20th, with all remaining 1,870 seats available for mileage redemption. Any unsold seats will be made available for cash purchase starting 20 days before the scheduled departure.

For these US routes, mileage redemption for a one-way, off-peak flight is set at 35,000 miles for economy class and 62,500 miles for Business Smartium class. However, some flights that are scheduled in may and june will be accounted as peak season, and will have a 50% higher mileage redemption rate.

Asiana Airlines has been actively working to expand mileage redemption opportunities for its customers. The airline recently conducted the "Jeju Happy Mileage Week" promotion, which offered approximately 38,000 mileage redemption seats and achieved an average booking rate of over 92%.

In addition to the mileage-exclusive flights, Asiana Airlines operates the "OZ Mileage Shop," an online store where members can redeem their miles for a variety of products, from gift vouchers to household goods and accommodations. The airline also plans to further expand its mileage-exclusive flights in the second half of the year and increase the number of mileage redemption seats available on its regular flights.
