JEONBUK, South Korea – The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education is set to accelerate its efforts in fostering global talents. The recent selection of the office for the Ministry of Education's 2025 project to promote international exchange through Korean language education is expected to provide significant momentum.

With over 600 million won in funding secured through this project, the Jeonbuk Office of Education will be able to implement a wider range of international exchange programs. The initiative aims to enhance the global capabilities of both students and teachers by establishing a network with domestic and international educational institutions, focusing on Korean language and traditional Korean culture.

The initial phase of the project will involve collaborations with Korean education centers in Seattle (USA), Tokyo (Japan), and Thailand. The office plans to expand online and in-person exchange classes with overseas schools that have adopted Korean language programs, with a focus on providing tailored Korean language education for multicultural students.

"This project will provide students with invaluable opportunities to connect with the world and cultivate their global competencies," said Seo Geo-seok, Superintendent of Education. "The Jeonbuk Office of Education is committed to nurturing students' international awareness and supporting their growth on the global stage through this initiative."

This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in developing future global leaders who are proficient in Korean language and culture, while also fostering stronger ties with international communities.
