SEJONG — The Haemil-dong community in Sejong City, led by Dong Chief Han Jae-il, successfully wrapped up the 3-day "6th Haemil-Sanul Rainbow Festival" on the 24th, held in collaboration with the Haemil-dong Athletic Association, the Haemil Village Education Community, and the Sanul Village Education Community.

Running from October 22 to 24 at Haemil Hanbit Park and Neonadeuri Square, the festival drew approximately 500 residents from Haemil-dong and Sanul-dong, providing a vibrant autumn setting for community bonding and communication.

Community Education and Culture (Oct 22–23)
The first two days focused on community-oriented educational and cultural programs, featuring interactive booths, a festive parade, and live performances.

At Neonadeuri Square, a "Recycling Play Yard" operated in partnership with the Sejong Upcycling Center, alongside a bustling flea market featuring 10 resident teams. The "Street Hangeul Culture Festival" added a melodic touch to the atmosphere with jazz, traditional Korean music (Gugak), and brass quintet performances.

Sports Day and Closing Talk Concert (Oct 24)
On the final day, the Haemil-dong Athletic Association hosted a lively sports competition at the Haemil Hanbit Park main stadium, featuring six recreational sports events and a prize draw that drew enthusiastic participation from residents.

Starting at 5:00 PM, a special Talk Concert featured comedians Park Chul-hyun and Lee Je-gyu from Meta Comedy Club, who delivered inspiring lectures on diverse careers and vocational paths. Student performances on stage further captivated the audience, drawing immense interest from both students and parents.

"Thanks to the active participation of individual residents, as well as the Haemil and Sanul Village Education Communities, this festival was a resounding success," said Han Jae-il, Chief of Haemil-dong. "We look forward to continuing this tradition of village festivals where residents and students come together."
