Nonghyup Bank and the Korea-Vietnam Future Generations Exchange Association will be conducting support education for the successful settlement of Korean-Vietnamese multicultural families in Korean society. This three-day program, running from July 2nd to 4th at Nonghyup University, focuses on helping multicultural family members stably adapt to life in Korea and plan for their future.
This settlement support education targets Korean-Vietnamese multicultural families selected from across the country. The selection of participants considered various criteria, including length of marriage, number of children, and completion of Korean language education, to ensure support is concentrated on households most in need.
The main educational content includes: ▲ understanding multicultural family support policies and the value of agriculture and rural areas, ▲ psychological counseling for parents (individual and group), and ▲ digital coding education for children. Special emphasis is placed on enhancing communication skills among family members and expanding educational opportunities for children, thereby supporting multicultural families to grow into healthy members of Korean society.
Kim Dong-hwan, Chairman of the Korea-Vietnam Future Generations Exchange Association, stated, "We hope this education serves as an important stepping stone for multicultural families to smoothly settle into Korean society and build a bright future with their children." The Korea-Vietnam Future Generations Exchange Association also announced plans to operate a second round of education based on the outcomes of this program, expressing its continued commitment to supporting multicultural families.
Nonghyup Bank recognizes that multicultural families are important contributors to rural communities and Korean society as a whole. Through this education, it expects not only to help them settle stably but also to positively impact the revitalization of agriculture and rural areas.
