Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation, under the stewardship of Chairman Alex Cha, is orchestrating the 52nd annual Los Angeles Korean Festival, slated to unfold at the verdant expanse of Seoul International Park from October 16th through the 19th, 2025. This forthcoming iteration of the beloved cultural celebration is generating considerable anticipation as it secures unprecedented levels of sponsorship from prominent mainstream corporations and governmental entities, signaling its evolution into a community event of truly remarkable scale and influence.

According to official pronouncements from the LA Korean Festival Foundation, the 2025 festival has garnered the unwavering support of the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and the Council Office of the 10th District. This robust civic endorsement is expected to further solidify the festival's position as a vibrant nexus of Korean culture, seamlessly interwoven with a rich tapestry of global artistic expressions and traditions. The roster of distinguished sponsors includes the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro), the Los Angeles County-backed healthcare service provider LA Care Health Plan, First 5 LA, a dedicated non-profit organization focused on early childhood education, and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the nation's foremost advocate for individuals over the age of 50. Demonstrating a unified community spirit, the Wilshire Center-Koreatown Neighborhood Council, alongside its counterparts from neighboring districts such as Rampart Village Neighborhood Council, Pico-Union Neighborhood Council, and Westlake North Neighborhood Council, have also pledged their support to the grand cultural endeavor.

Chairman Alex Cha articulated the burgeoning significance of the annual event, stating, "The Korean Festival has transcended its origins as a mere local community gathering and is rapidly ascending to the status of a globally recognized cultural platform, attracting enthusiasts from every corner of the world. It is our profound aspiration that through this grand celebration, we will not only showcase the rich tapestry of Korean culture to the diverse populace of Los Angeles but also project its vibrant essence onto the international stage, thereby fostering an even greater sense of pride and unity within our cherished local community."

Preparations for the four-day cultural extravaganza are proceeding with remarkable efficiency and enthusiasm. As of the close of March 2025, an impressive 80% of vendor booth applications have been finalized, with the highly sought-after food and snack vendor spaces reaching full capacity. This remarkable early engagement underscores the profound interest and fervent anticipation that local businesses and community organizations hold for the Korean Festival, recognizing its pivotal role in fostering economic activity and community cohesion. The meticulous process of securing renowned artistic talent from South Korea is currently in its final stages, promising a captivating array of performances spanning the dynamic realm of K-pop, the graceful artistry of traditional Korean dance and music, an expansive and delectable food festival showcasing the breadth of Korean culinary heritage, and an engaging children's experiential learning zone designed to immerse young minds in Korean culture.

Adding further momentum to the foundation's tireless efforts, recent legal proceedings have concluded favorably, with the judicial system affirming the legitimacy and operational authority of the current board of directors. On April 9th, 2025, the Los Angeles County Court of Appeal decisively rejected a petition seeking to expedite the enforcement of the initial trial court ruling prior to the appellate court's final judgment. This legal affirmation provides a stable foundation for the foundation to focus its energies entirely on delivering an exceptional festival experience.

In his concluding remarks, Chairman Cha conveyed a message of unwavering commitment to the community, stating, "We are deeply cognizant of the high expectations that our community holds for the festival, and we are working diligently to ensure that the 2025 edition surpasses all previous iterations in terms of the quality and diversity of its events and programs. We earnestly implore the continued interest and enthusiastic support of the entire Los Angeles community and beyond as we prepare to unveil what promises to be the most spectacular Korean Festival in its distinguished history." The 52nd Annual Los Angeles Korean Festival is poised to be a landmark event, celebrating the enduring spirit of Korean culture and fostering even stronger bonds within the diverse tapestry of the Los Angeles community.
