Sequential policy meetings across 5 key provincial bureaus focusing on AI, basic society, balanced growth, climate and environment, construction and transportation, and industrial innovation.

Finalizing 47 strategic tasks for the current year while driving the discovery of 2027 policy research and collaborative initiatives.

The Chungnam Institute, led by President Won Sung-soo, is taking proactive steps to bolster its policy collaboration with the Chungnam Provincial Government and discover core policy agendas for the 9th popularly elected term.

The institute announced that it will host a series of "Bureau Policy Cooperation Meetings" with five provincial bureaus from November 11 to December 17. These sessions are designed to establish joint responses to major provincial issues and discuss ways to uncover policy research tasks for 2027.

This round of meetings aims to preemptively address the policy directions and core initiatives of the upcoming term, while strengthening regular communication and cooperation channels between provincial bureau officials and the institute's researchers. A primary objective is to directly identify practical policy research demands from administrative fields and effectively connect the institute’s research expertise to provincial administration.

The schedule kicks off with the Bureau of AI, Basic Society, Health, and Welfare on November 11, followed by the Bureau of Administrative Integration and Balanced Growth on November 12, the Bureau of Climate, Environment, and Forestry on November 27, and the Bureau of Construction and Transportation on December 17. Discussions with the Bureau of AI and Industrial Innovation are currently being finalized.

Key agenda items include sharing core policy issues and research demands by bureau, discovering strategic and commissioned research tasks for 2027, and formulating implementation plans for collaborative projects.

"As we approach the formulation of key policies for the 9th popular term, it is crucial to accurately grasp major pending issues and research demands, translating our research outcomes into viable policy alternatives," said Chungnam Institute President Won Sung-soo. "Continuous communication with the provincial bureaus is an essential process to enhance the practicality and policy applicability of our research. We will properly showcase the achievements of this year's strategic tasks while directly overseeing practical cooperation with the province—ranging from discovering next year's research topics to maximizing their application in policy."

Following the meetings, the Chungnam Institute plans to review the policy demands and major discussion points derived from each bureau, incorporating them into future policy research and collaborative projects designed to address regional administrative challenges.
