MANHATTAN — Food enthusiasts in New York City are preparing for a flavorful weekend as the NYC Halal Fest returns for its third consecutive year, marking its debut in Manhattan.

Organized by MuslimFoodies, the vibrant culinary celebration is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, transforming Astor Place—situated between Broadway and Lafayette—into a bustling hub of diverse flavors. The day-long festival will host more than 30 vendors offering a wide array of halal foods, beverages, and cultural goods, highlighting the rich culinary traditions of the community.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a diverse range of global cuisines. Highlighted vendors include Chaat Dog from Time Out Market serving unique desi-style hot dogs, Joloff Restaurant offering authentic Senegalese dishes, Holy Smoke Halal with traditional barbecue, and Lollipchops featuring Egyptian specialties. For those with a sweet tooth, dessert options will abound with treats from Cuddle Crepes, Sam's Fried Ice Cream, and specialty cookie buckets by Shompa's Goods.

Beyond the culinary experience, the festival offers entertainment for visitors of all ages. Ludo Ghar will host a dedicated gaming area where guests can participate in traditional board games such as ludo, carrom, and backgammon between meals.

The event will run from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. While admission is entirely free to the public, organizers encourage visitors to arrive early to avoid long queues and make the most of the day's offerings.
