SEOUL — Gyeongsangbuk-do has rolled out a fresh lineup of seasonal day-trip packages designed to bring travelers from the capital straight to the province's most breathtaking autumn scenery.

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture and Tourism Organization recently introduced the "Gyeongbuk Fall Snapshot" program, a series of chartered bus tours operating from November 6 through November 14. The initiative links eight different municipalities across the province, giving metropolitan tourists an easy way to experience peak foliage and ginkgo-lined paths outside the city.

The itinerary unfolds across multiple dates, beginning with Yeongju on November 6, followed by Gumi, Cheongdo, and Mungyeong on November 7. Gyeongju will be featured on November 13, and the series concludes with Uiseong, Gimcheon, and Yeongyang on November 14.

Tourists can choose destination-specific itineraries tailored to highlight each region's cultural heritage and natural beauty. Stops in the program feature prominent historical and scenic landmarks, including:

Yeongju: Sosu Seowon and Buseoksa Temple
Gumi: Sudasa Temple and the Geumosan walking trails
Gimcheon: Seomgye Seowon and Jikjisa Temple
Mungyeong: Mungyeong Sajae pass and the Bongmyeongsan Suspension Bridge
Gyeongju: Dori Village and the Millennium Forest Garden
Cheongdo: Jeokcheonsa Temple and the historic Cheongdo Eupseong Fortress
Yeongyang: Local birch forests and the traditional Seoseokji Garden
Uiseong: Uiseong Hyanggyo (Confucian school) and Sachon Village

Tourism officials note that the program aims to disperse travel demand beyond major urban centers, directing attention to lesser-known autumn hotspots and injecting vitality into regional economies.

"Every corner of Gyeongbuk takes on a distinct, vibrant personality during the autumn months," said Kim Nam-il, President of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture and Tourism Organization. "With the 'Gyeongbuk Fall Snapshot' tours, we hope travelers can frame their own unforgettable memories against our picturesque backdrop and discover the multifaceted charm of Gyeongsangbuk-do."

Bookings and detailed inquiries regarding schedules can be handled through Dongbaek Travel Agency, the official operational partner for the campaign.
